I started Savvy & Simple to help people create order and harmony in their lives. It was born from my desire to do something meaningful every day and to affect the lives of others in a positive, productive and lasting way. Savvy & Simple is the name of my business and my philosophy. As an organizing professional I offer simple and creative solutions for those seeking a life without clutter.
My background began in the Horticulture field. I received a BS in Horticulture from the University of Missouri in Columbia and completed graduate work in Landscape Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My professional work experience includes five years in the greenhouse industry working in sales, marketing and production. My knack for organizing and space planning led me to a national custom organizing company where I worked as a design consultant for five years.
Although I have been organized all my life I went looking for training and education for ways that I could better serve my clients. In May of 2007 I completed the Clear & Simple Certified Professional Organizer Training. This 5-day intensive course provided me a foundation for tackling any organizing project efficiently and effectively. As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization I am continuing my education through classes and attending annual conventions.
My most valuable education has been my experience. Every client I have had the pleasure to work with has taught me a valuable lesson or two. I am looking forward to the opportunity to use my experience and training to create order and harmony in your life!
