About
I started Savvy & Simple to help people create order and harmony in their lives. Savvy & Simple is the name of my business and my philosophy. As an organizing consultant I offer simple and creative solutions for those seeking a life without clutter.
My background began in the Horticulture field. I received a BS in Horticulture from the University of Missouri in Columbia and completed graduate work in Landscape Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My professional work experience includes five years in the greenhouse industry working in sales, marketing and production, five years as a design consultant for California Closets, and over two years as a productivity consultant for FranklinCovey.
Although I have been organized all my life I wanted to seek out training and education for ways that I could better serve my clients. In May of 2007 I completed the Clear & Simple Certified Professional Organizer Training. This 5-day intensive course provided me a foundation for tackling any organizing project efficiently and effectively. As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization I am continuing my education through classes and attending annual conventions. In August 2008 I was trained by Barbara Hemphill to become a Productive Environment Specialist and learned how to turn any office into a productive environment.
My most valuable education has been my experience. Every client I have had the pleasure to work with has taught me a valuable lesson or two. I am looking forward to the opportunity to use my experience and training to create order and harmony in your life!
